The Research institute of water economy closely cooperates with International sci-entific centers and leading high school. It has cooperated with International centre of agricultural researches in the dry areas (ICARDA), International centre of the wheat and corns improvement (SIMMIT) since 1999, International water manage-ment institute (IWMI) since 2005.

Scientific researches are carried out by the staff of Institute, who has a big experi-ence in scientific and practical work in water management, mechanizations, tech-nique and technologies of the irrigation, technical irrigation systems improvement, economic of water economy. The value of executed researches is concluded in norms of water-consumption and water-drain reduction, degradation of irrigated land decrease, raising the standards of irrigated farming owing to development of non-standard technologies for agricultural production.

The Object of the field investigations are selected Mahtaral massif of the Syrdarya river middle-flow area and Arysi-Turkestan channel zone in Southern Kazakhstan, where harmful influence of land and water degradation is exceeding and food pro-vision and farmers’ incomes are under the threat.

The Purpose of investigations:

Discovering of key factors, contributing for "bright spots" formation, when on background of productivity decline , fertility soil reduction, separated economies due to strategies of natural resources degradation fight and agricultural technolo-gies improvement save the soil quality and become the “Hubs of wellfare".

Scientific researches under the international project "Creation of favorable cir-cumstances for rural communities in the Aral sea basin against land and water re-sources degradation by “Bright Spots” become more actual on a point view of ag-ricultural productivity increasing in the south of Kazakhstan.

The employers of Institute have a period of trial and qualification promotion at scholastic courses, workshop trainings, organized by international organizations.

The Institute has renewed the cooperation with institutes of C.I.S. (Minsk State Economic University named after. A. Sakharov, Belarus; "Raduga" Research Insti-tute, Kolomna, Russia; Governmental Academy of sciences , Kherson, Ukraine; "VNIIGIM", Moscow, Russia) on development of "Scientifically motivated norms of water-consumption and water-drain, methods of rationned ecological safe water-use provision in different branches of agro-industrial complex in C.I.S." since 2006

The regional program over Kazakhstan is developed and directed to head-organization (Minsk State Economic University named after A. Sakharov, Bela-rus), which execution will be possible upon direct support of Ministry of agricul-ture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
