Research bases of arid pastures monitoring and irrigation

Shot description of completed development

Research bases of arid pastures monitoring and irrigation are developed. The following projects were implemented on the grounds of conducted researches: a) map-scheme pasture location of Kazakhstan with indication of productivity and feeding – capacity parameters; b) map-scheme of division into districts of the state territory depending on conditions of underground water use; c) map-scheme of the stock-breeding development areas and recommended areas for pastures and hayfields; d) recommendation concerning pasture territories’ rational water-supply. Environment-protection measures necessary for irrigation process organization are paid special attention in recommendations.

Taking into account an pasture-circulation and degraded area recovering, rational water-supply, the scheme to the local pasture field organizations is offered.

Research, project-making, scholastic-industrial training organizations and enterprises are professionally interested in the questions of pasturable territory rational water-supply and environment - protection.

Technical-economic basis of the project

The completed developments introduction contributes to pasturable land increasing up to 7-8 quintals a hectare that means productivity extension up to 15-20% accordingly.

Environment-protection events and technological measures for water-provision improvement of south-western areas of the Balkhash lake basin (Pribalkhashye).

Shot description of completed development

The technical conditions of water-pipe systems analysis of the south-western Pribalkhashiye which work with raised accident rate is executed. The working term of immersed pumps due to abrasive wear-out of worker organs in sand-blocked up chink is reduced.

A new construction of hydro-cyclonic installation (the RK Patent №10946) for working organs of centrifugal pumps protection from abrasive wear-out, improved model of air release valve for air - output from pressuring water-pipes are developed. The new constructions tests are carried out in production conditions. The test results has shown an efficiency and possibility to introduce of the perfected water-raising, water-purifying and air-output processes.

The working enterprises of pasturable water-supply and irrigation in the system of agricultural-industrial complex (AIC). The RK Patent №10946 from 15.11.2001, bulletin №11.

Technical-economic basis of the project

During chink clearing and chink water-lifting processes on improved hydro-cyclonic installation with new washing-out adjutage, consumption of basic electric rotary pump 10-63-110 rises up to 5 % and 10% accordingly.

Working affectivity of improved air-release valve is 1,5 times higher than usual ones.

To develop rational schemes and technologies of water-supply in rural settlements, farming economies and enterprises of AIC.

Shot description of completed development

On the grounds of collected material related to contemporary state of agricultural water-supply it is revealed that rural water-supply is basically realized at the expense underground waters (80%): more than 40% of them are mineralized, about 5% are suspension clearing required, approximately 80% are in need of stabilizations and become ironless.

For selection of the technological scheme variant of water-supply ecologic-economic regulations for water-supply systems rehabilitation and reconstructions providing quality improvement of drinking water are formed. Technology of sand-blocked up chinks exploitations, technical lifting devices for dashed water and recommendations on rational water-supply of different objects of AIC are developed.

Water-supply of rural settlements, farming economies and enterprises of AIC. The RK patents №12759 from 07.08.2001 and №12964 from 21.09.2003.

Technical-economic basis of the project

Introduction of project results will allow providing of population by drinking water according to requirements of sanitary norms and rules.

Intensive methods of oasis irrigation with use of non-traditional technologies.

Shot description of completed development

The estimation of arid landscape potential and particularities of forage and food crops cultivation technology, ecological parameters of environment and economic indices of local feeding-production in the pasturable regions of southern Kazakhstan is carried out.

Division into zones is defined, criterions and actual ecological parameters of desert and semi-desert areas are determined, norms and modes of irrigation operation of the cultivated cultures is updated, major economic factors related to oasis irrigation conditions.

Agricultural objects of feeding-production in desert areas of the south of Kazakhstan. The analogues in the country are not present.

Technical-economic basis of the project

The economic result of introduction makes 7000-9000 tenge an one hectare.

Resources-saving technologies of irrigation and desalinization of irrigated lands, perfecting soil fertility.

Shot description of completed development

The parameters of mass-carrying processes under the condition that irrigation technologies modification, washing, chemical land reclamation, sewages mineralization are fixed for different irrigation systems of Kazakhstan.

Resources-saving technologies are developed concerning: irrigation of the agricultural crops through a furrow, providing reduction of irrigation water consumption for infiltration; use of ground water on sub-irrigation;

Management of drainage and outlet runoff is achieved by prop- constructions (regulating floodgate) on collect-drainage network; soil dealkalinization by phosphoric gypsum adding. This process contributes to phosphor deposits increasing and agricultural productivity improvement. Desalination of salted soils by wash out provides reduction of wash off organic and nourishing substance.

The results of researches are able for use on irrigated lands of Kazakhstan and for their design. On a base of research materials 6 satisfactory conclusions about invention and pre-patent are received (Application №2004/0246.1). The synchronous pulsed spray irrigation set (KSID-10)

Shot description of completed development

Automatic system of pulsed sprinkler irrigation, allowing to carry out duty of water depending on water-consumption of plants taking into account meteorological conditions and moisture of basic soil.

Application, competitiveness and presence of patents

It Is intended for sprinkler irrigation of agricultural crop and the rest, cultivated on diverse relief and surface slope under 0,3, powerfulness soil, with opportunity of un-capacity water sources use. Technical newness is protected by Certificate. of Authorship. USSR №880358, 886846, 1042681, 1192726, 1205833.

Technical-economic basis of the project

Comparing with usual sprinkling irrigation it provides growth of productivity fruit cultures and perennial rubbed on 11-28%.

The low-pressured drop irrigation set

Shot description of completed development

It consists of mechanism of water-distribution, laterals, pipe-droppers, field tee and leading pipes. The method provides under automatic working duty of water is approximately 5,0 liters a day towards each plant on an irrigation territory of 0,01 hectare.

Application, competitiveness and presence of patents

The module set is used for irrigation on a small area. Completing of module allows to create the sprinkler irrigation area of 1 hectare and more. Application for technical newness of t development is sent to "NIIS" in 2006.

Technical-economic basis of the project

Due to working pressure is 0,02 MPA it is provided energy-saving on 50-60% comparing with drop-sprinkler irrigations and economy of irrigation water on 40-60% comparing with surface watering.

The open source-powered water-lifting devices (the hydraulic ram)

Shot description of completed development

The hydraulic ram is developed. It allows to realize water-lifting from open sources (rivers, creeks etc.) on areas located higher than water-source due to energy of hydraulic blow.

Application, competitiveness and presence of patents

The Hydraulic ram is adopted in water-supply and irrigation of farming. Construction is protected by the RK patent №9160 (October 9 1998) and №15860 (November 17 2003).

Technical-economic basis of the project

The annual economic effect per one installation with the exception of energy expenses is nearly 72 thousands of tenge.

Technology of water-distribution and waterings automation

Shot description of completed development

The model sample of computer-aided irrigation module (CAIM), consists of: executive organ, programator, on/off valve. Swings of pressure - 0,5 1,5 m; the consumed consumption 20 30 l/day.; expense into furrows - 0,5 – 2 l/day; season fixed area - 20 30 hectares depending on type-size of module.

Automated water-distribution and watering is carried out of flow and low-pressured irrigation network. It Operates accordingly with before given program which is individual for each area. On proposed module (CAIM) pre-patent №15059 " Programmed device of the water-regulation system" (January 22 2004); pre-patent №15882 "Irrigation device" (July 15 2005);

Technical-economic basis of the project

Comparing with the base model (PPA-165U) this module will reduce per 1 hectare labour expenses in 2,7 times, capital expenses in 1,25 times. Due to even water-distribution increasing of productivity is up to 5…10%.

Water-saving furrow irrigation method of winter wheat

Shot description of completed development
Water-saving furrow irrigation method is carried out with changeable stream by small means of mechanization.

Application, competitiveness and presence of patents

It is recommended to irrigate cultures of the solid sowing (passed the approbation on winter wheat in Merke and Zhambyl raions of Zhambyl oblast).

Technical-economic basis of the project

Annual economic effect after its introduction in "Pobeda" cooperative society in Merke raion, Zhambyl oblast on area is 32 hectares in 2004-2005 yy. amounted to 650211,2 tenge.

The Recommendations for rice and accompanied crop irrigation.

Shot description of completed development

Basis positions related to rice irrigation are stated in recommendations. They are: sown area preparing (rice checks) and flooding depending on salinity and littering degree of soil, irrigation mode and watering techniques for rice and accompanied cultures (the Lucerne) growing during rice crop rotation.

The Recommendations are intended as for specialists of agro formations, peasant and farming rice-growing economies, as for water-economic organizations’ employers.

Technical-economic basis of the project

Use of the Recommendations in rice-growing agro formations will provide increasing of qualitative indices per each irrigated hectare, rational using and water saving on10-15%, material and labor resources - on 15-20%.

Tariff differentiate-making on irrigation water at hydro-reclamation systems (HRS) sections depending on the property categories and their management; climatic and economic zones, regions; technical level of HRS; purposefulness of economy branches; taking into account season work of water-economic objects etc.

The Recommendations are intended for water-economic organizations are engaged in irrigated land water-provision, state water management bodies, monopolists’ services tariffing etc. They can be used in project design and as an educational text-book.

Differentiated tariffs introduction will ensure stable balance of economic interests of managing structures and agricultural producers, water-consumers and state. They are contribute for water resources economy.

- an normative-legal base improvement and state support in development of the irrigated husbandry;
- a financial ensuring of the irrigated husbandry and water-economic activity investment on irrigation required lands;
- a technical policy, directed on reclamation systems modernization and reconstruction;
- aspects of scientific, experienced potential and dataware of irrigation development.
